I have for sale my Ducati 1098s Tricolore with ONLY 4519 miles on the clock. She is in amazing condition and I hope by the photographs that you can see this. I have added some very recent photographs because I've had a number of enquiries about just how clean the bike is. I thought the best way to show this was to take some close up photo's of the inner suspension.
If you are reading this advert then you already know about the Tricolore 1098 series. so please excuse me for not going fully in to depth. This model of Ducati was only released in 2007. ONLY 100 were imported into the UK. Insurance figures have shown about 35% of these models have had Insurance claims made against them which makes this model rarer and rarer. It was originally supplied with Carbon Termis & a race ECU which is fitted to the bike. The original ECU and exhausts come with the bike and they have never been used as they were changed on day of purchase. It also comes with a USB Data Analyser which you plug into the back of the bike for trackdays so that you can download your laptime data. braking. throttle etc. All of the original parts that I have replaced also come with the sale. This bike is in an amazing condition and has been very thoroughly looked after.
I have replaced a lot of the plastic parts with the highest quality carbon fibre. The carbon fibre is not to be mistaken for wet laid carbon but is the autoclaved pre preg carbon fibre. This is of the same quality but thicker than the original Ducati Carbon.
Parts replaced - Key Guard (£85). Air Ducts(£267). Heat Shield (£82). Heel Plates( came with Gilles rearsets). Under Seat Side Panels(£389). Bespoke Rear Hugger. (£185)
I have also replaced the Foot pegs with Gilles Fully Adjustable Foot rests. These are the most up to date model and cost almost £400. 00. I have also replaced both Brake and Clutch levers with Gilles Fold up Leavers(£208). These have 50 adjustable positions for your individual grips over a 25mm range and are not like other makes that only have 5-10 adjustable positions. They look stunning!
I have recently been asked a valid question about removing the extras to return it to the original spec. I would consider but the asking price would only be reduced by approx. £300.00 max. The reason for this is that the bike was priced on its amazing condition and low mileage. It wasn't priced as stock then the cost of the extras added on top. I appreciate the cost to me with everything that I've replaced would be in excess of £2000. 00 but I would not expect to recoup this cost in selling the bike. Obviously a little extra was added on top as the extras add to the bikes value. I did have the rearsets & levers replaced by a main dealer for safety reasons. so if a buyer did want them removed I would ask for payment up front to have them removed by the same dealer as I am not qualified to do this. I appreciate the enquiry and only thought it fair to add it to the main description.
I have added Italian Frame plugs machined from solid blocks of aluminium. I have added Pro Grips to replace the normal grips and changed the original seat for an Original Ducati Performance race seat which gives amazing grip.
The bike will come with the rear paddock stand and the optimate 4 charger system and again it will come with all of the original parts.
It has the Datatool Red S4 Alarm system with motion sensor. This is the best system on the market for motorbikes.
It was last serviced at 2064 miles by Moto Rapido. Winchester.
It has all the original owner manuals. service guides. spare key. spare alarm key.
I am the second owner of this bike and I purchased it in 2008. I am a very honest seller so when describing this bike I would state that it is in amazing condition. The inner parts and suspension has always been thoroughly cleaned after ride outs. Laying on floor with a tooth brush. Absolutely NO CORROSION around the suspension and hard to reach areas.
There are however some very small stone chips on the front panels but you have to look hard to find them. There is NO damage to the bike. It has never been dropped. scratched or marked. The original panels are still as shiny as the day they left the showroom.
There is no finance on the bike. It is SORN at present as I have had no time to ride due to work and a new business venture. this is the reason for my reluctant sale. The bike does not have an MOT either due to this reason. I will however put an MOT on it for the sale but no TAX due to the price reduction. It is kept in a dry garage and always plugged into the optimate charger. It is started regularly.

I live on the Isle of Wight. so if anybody wishes to see the bike then I would ask that you get the passenger ferries from either Southampton or Portsmouth where I will meet you on the Island side. If you do want a test ride then I would require the full amount of the bike in cash and proof of an Insurance Certificate prior to you taking the bike out.
