BUFF LOG BOOK AND V5C REGISTRATION DOCUMENT
VMCC CERTIFICATE AND BSA GOLD STAR DATING CERTIFICATE CONFIRMING THAT THE ENGINE AND FRAME ARE AN ORIGINAL FACTORY PAIRING WHICH LEFT THE FACTORY IN 34 CLUBMANS TRIM AND WAS DESPATCHED TO ALZINA. USA ON 27th SEPTEMBER 1956
This Clubman spec machine has been restored from a bare frame up and had the optional 190mm front brake with alloy rims. The frame was blasted and then painted. the forks were rebuilt using new hard chrome sliders and new brass bushes & seals. Correct headlight brackets were fitted and a Lucas headlight. ammeter and switch. The rev counter and speedometer were rebuilt. The petrol tank. tool box and oil tank and rear number plate were repainted in correct Gold Star colours. the chrome chain guard. front & rear mudguards were new. New shock absorbers were fitted. The wheels were rebuilt. brakes linings renewed where required and new bearings fitted. new tyres and tubes. All cables on the machine were replaced with new. The RRT2 Gearbox was restored by Harold Gardner of Gold Star Fame. he clutch was renewed. The engine was rebuilt by A Ratcliffe. crankshaft was checked & overhauled with new shims fitted. oilways cleaned and oil pump checked over. New barrel and piston. Cylinder head was checked. cleaned. new valves fitted and valve timing done. The magneto and dynamo were overhauled by APL Magnetos. The Amal GP series carburrettor was overhauled in our workshop and a new clips. fuel pipes and taps fitted. New swept back Gold Star type exhaust system fitted which has the great Gold Star twitter. The seat was newly restored. Clip-on handlebars and controls were all new. Fitted with main stand.
