BSA 650cc Super Rocket

Hi. here for sale is my 1959 Super Rocket.
I have owned this bike for the last four years. in that time its has been kept garaged and only used in dry conditions. I have done quite a lot of work to it over this time to bring it to the condition it is today. the main work consists of: renewing the small journal crank with the more robust large journal type. in the process fitting big end shells 0. 20 bronze SRM timing side bush and drive side main bearing. re-bored to 0. 20 with new pistons rings. all necessary seals and gaskets replaced etc. Converting to 12v and installing electronic ignition disguised in a magneto body (see pics). I still have the original mag and points and will go with the bike when sold.

The bike is in overall very good condition. it had been restored at some time before I purchased it. to a pretty good standard. it does have a few chips on the frame. as the bike has been ridden not just polished. I had the tank repainted shortly after I got it as the previous paint job wasn't very good. its in silver and not red as silver was apparently an option in 1959. and in my opinion looks good with the chrome. the chrome on the tank is very good as it is on the rest of the bike. there are some small pits on the front wheel rim hardly noticeable. both rims have been replaced with chrome rims from CWC.
All the mudguards. panels etc. are original and have been re-chromed in all. apart from the mods I have mentioned. the bike is a very original specimen.
The engine starts easily and runs smooth and strong. she pulls like a train with plenty of power. she needs no mot and is historical free road tax which expires in May this year.
I have a BSA dating certificate confirming that it is a matching frame and engine number bike. The registration mark 808 AYA is transferable if that's your bag!

All in all this bike is of a very good standard mechanically and cosmetically.
