Well where do we start on this one – it's hard to get all laid down within a short space.

The beginnings of this 1954 / 1961 A10 Super Rocket (object' dart) was bought by present owner in 1971
the original owner was the only previous owner. so the bike totals just 2 owners since new!

The present owner has finally conceded. to his age and health. so looking for a new owner who will get the bike with bills and history.

The original frame went to Leon and Wallace Customs. Putney Bridge Road. various ups and downs later the bike ended up with
Chris Ireland at Desperate Dan's who altered the rolling chassis and completed a lot of work.

More ups and downs and years of getting parts made. altered. engraved etc. etc.

Whilst the owners health deteriorating and his enthusiasm getting thin now in his 60's. he's looking for the right offer.

The engine had been completely rebuilt by SRM (>£3k) with impressive spec including tungsten heavy needle roller crank conversion and balanced
Carrillo rods lightened and polished rockers etc. etc. also ‘blueprinted' gearbox.

There are loads of bills for most / all components and the engineering including the splendid Tolle 28” over forks etc.

We've been advised over the preceding years. when the owner's spirit was willing. he'd take it to shops for various work. but couldn't get it closed out
– the intention was to get it on the road. legal – with MOT (no road tax required). whilst still breathing.

At the end of 2010. he took advice from several of his motorcycle friends. that if he wanted to get it finished. The Hogfather would be a good call.

We picked up and partially stripped down the rolling stock. then retrofit whilst re-engineering. re-shimming. / spacing components out correctly.

We then wired up (it has a 12v conversion) and got it all working.

We then moved on to the mechanicals. thoroughly worked / checked over and got all working and wonderful she sounds.

Around 40 years and £50k later we have a truly fine BRITISH MAD DOG!
