Laverda SFC1000 SFC 1000 RGS

I am selling my 1988 Laverda 1000 SFC. It is in excellent condition. Frame and engine numbers match.

It has a couple of useful upgrades: DMC3 Electronic Ignition fitted and Wilbers rear shocks fitted.

I bought it when I lived in Germany and have owned it for the last 7 years. In 2008 it was comprehensively overhauled by reknowned German Laverda specialist Willi Werndl (Laverda Team Werndl) who replaced all bearings and chains. Other work included a tank respray ( due to buckle rash) and the frame behind the engine (which was scratched from the seat fairing mounting bolts). It was then dry stored until last year when I imported and registered here. It has a genuine 23. 00 kms which equates to 14. 00 miles and has done less than a 100km since the overhaul.

The original 3 into 2 exhaust system is showing a slight speckling of rust on the original silencers (these are rare). There is also a set of immaculate (and loud) stainless Jota silencers to go with it.

The front left hand indicator lens has a crack in it (see picture) but I have been unable to find a replacement.

It had two previous Swiss owners before me. I have the original cancelled Swiss registration doc. The UK V5C is in my name and there is still 6 months left on the MOT and tax.

It was serviced last year by Jims Superbike Surgery and the carbs thoroughly cleaned by REPs Motorcycles Rogiet.

As well as being a great motorcycle to ride it also a rare and appreciating asset.
