Lambretta SX150, 1968 100% Italian

This is my 1968 all Italian SX150 which has had a full nut and bolt restoration taking over a year. completed in 2011 with no expense spared. All parts and body panels are high quality Italian. no cheap bits have been used anywhere. I have used this for loads of ride outs and rallies and give it a polish every time it comes back. It is ridden not hidden. but still looks like the restoration was completed yesterday.

The paintwork is 2 pack Old English White and Pillar Box Red (I do have the code) which has been over coated with Clear Lacquer for the smooth seamless high gloss finish. All parts have been fully restored or replaced. The frame/panel work was shot blasted. powder coated. etch primed. painted and lacquered. The Engine/Frame/IGM numbers are all correct and are as clear as a Bell.

The Engine is a standard 150 set up running 6v points/coil/condenser for originality and never misses a beat. I have done just under 2000 miles on it in almost 3 years and it's been my Isle of Wight scooter for the last 2 years. The reason I use this one is down to its ease of riding; it runs like a dream and is ultra-reliable (it goes like my tweaked 175 GP). The brakes are pin-sharp. much better than the disc set up on my DL.

Other bits include Casa Black Seat Cover. Chrome Sprint Rack. Top Quality Chrome Wheel Rims (not the cheap rubbish ones you see). 42mm AF Rayspeed Clubman Exhaust. standard Dellorto SH1/20 carb. Kick Out Stadium Mirror. Cambridge Lambretta Stainless Stand and Splash Plate. I do have a Red and White seat if preferred. As it's a 1968 scooter; it's tax exempt.

The reason for the sale: I have 4 scooters and only 1 back side. so being sensible. my latest purchase suggests that 1 of the 4 should go. Having said that. I don't NEED to sell it. so I won't give it away. it's far too good for that. Deep down. I'm a GP man so sadly the SX is the one that's up for sale (even though it does compliment the others nicely). If you're after a superb original spec. all Italian reliable Lambretta then come and take a look. It requires ‘nothing'. it's clean and polished and ready to go.

Any inspections and viewings welcome but if you think you are going to take it out for a test ride. then be prepared to hand over the hard cash first!
