Norton Scrambler N15CS Atlas MX G15CS Hybrid AMC

I built this bike a couple of years ago and have enjoyed riding it. But I have decided to sell it to fund another project.

This is one of the first batch of AMC hybrids made in 1963. It is a 107*** series chassis with the chrome mudguards and straight through pipes.

The engine is a slightly later 118*** series from 1966 which has the stronger conrods and improved lubrication.

It has twin chopped 389 monobloc carbs with filters and the clutch has had Barnett plates fitted.

The "odd" clocks are as supplied at the time. both being chronometric.

I realise that the metal flake gold paintwork is not standard but it was done on a whim when I built it. It only needs the tank and side covers re-painted to return this to standard.

It starts and runs beautifully. It is a pleasure to ride and sounds great too. Surprisingly not too loud on open pipes.

Just a little more information. The wheels are Morad alloy flangeless rims with stainless steel spokes. Tyres are Avon Road Riders 3.25 x 19" front and 4.00 x 18" rear.
