Triumph Rocket III, 2009, Black, 8k Miles, MOT, extras

You are looking at a 2009 Triumph Rocket III. 59 Plate. 8.8k miles. MoT. Comes with: (all Triumph OE) loud pipes (standard pipes & collector box included). touring seat with rider's adjustable backrest. Pillion backrest & chrome rack (both detachable). Front fog lights. Heated grips. Highway Hawk bags. currently is On The Road. ready to ride away - NOT SORNed.
Service history. hasn't done enough miles for one. after the 500 mile initial service. the next scheduled service is at 10k. everything works on the bike 100% at present.

146 bhp. 163nm of torque. the starter motor puts out 1. 30kW of power!
For Sale due to chronic lack of use. bought in 2012. this had had every possible Triumph OE extra fitted from new and then was ridden only when the sun shone. Once I had disposed of the full touring screen. chrome side panels and appalling quality Triumph bags. I set about riding it as it should be. but soon. the demands of my business relegated it once again to the garage for most of the year. The bike has been kept in a dry garage ever since I bought it. all chrome. paint and metalwork is in good condition.
So. it's up for sale with an indecently low amount of miles on the clock & 9 months MoT. fitted with a fairly new set of Avon Cobras and with the Triumph OE bags replaced with some synthetic Highway Hawk bags. these slipped down on a run. so there is a bit of exhaust melt on the underside of one of them. however they are still waterproof. which is more than can be said about the Triumph bags!
Bike is garaged / viewable in Yaxley. nr Peterborough. Personal plate is not included in the sale and will be transferred off at my expense before / when selling.
Bad Stuff - Bike has 2 x loud pipes plus one standard (!?!) but is 3-1-3 so doesn't affect performance. not painfully loud though. and the bike comes with the stock silencers and collector box if you wanted to return it to stock. the incriminating words 'N*t For R*ad Use' on the silencers have been ground over with a Dremel to keep the MoT man happy. the surface chrome is not affected.

There is some surface pitting on the rear brake disc due to bike standing. new brake pads have just been fitted. There is no fob for the factory alarm / immobiliser. this was missing when I bought the bike - a new one can be obtained from Triumph if you send the alarm back to the factory! The right side bag has some exhaust melt underneath where it slipped down onto the top silencer.
Bike can be delivered within 100 mile radius of Peterborough. Bank transfer or Cash on Collection is acceptable / will be required before any test rides. However I can take you out as pillion to assess the bike instead by arrangement.
