Harley-Davidson V Rod Landspeed/Drag Racing Bike

This bike started life in ‘03 as a factory donated drag bike which was fielded by a dealer in California.

The bike was purchased in '05 & the chassis & running gear were extensively modified by Kosman Specialties in the US.

It was then imported into the UK in '06 as the basis for an attempt on the British Landspeed record.

Over the last 8 years the machine has been developed by a team of aerospace engineers.

A carbon fibre aerodynamic package is included. this was designed. prototyped. wind tunnel tested & has now been manufactured in machine laid carbon fibre.

The aero properties of the faired bike are superior to anything available from a manufacturer.

The test demonstrated the soundness of the design in terms of stability. downforce & lift. yaw characteristics & overall aero drag.

The full spec of the bike is way too complex to relate here. suffice it to say that around £75K has been spent in cash & another +- 150K in sponsored development.

There is nothing comparable on either side of the Atlantic.

In terms of build quality. the bike was entered in one of the UK's major custom shows a couple of years back & was awarded Best Paint. Best Engineering & Best in Show.

The bike comes complete with a vast array of spares. components. tools. software & data as are required to run & manage a machine like this.
