1985 Husqvarna 510 Husky – Twinshock EVO Vintage Motocross, Rebuilt Engine

1985 Husqvarna 510 Motocrosser – has a later 1986 engine fitted, apparently the best year—better and stronger, so I'm told.

This is what the previous owner told me had been done to the bike:

- Engine has been completely rebuilt & has only one race on it.
- Piston/rings (Wiseco 1st over), cylinder bored & honed.
- Kibble White valves, valve seats ground to match.
- Valve seals & springs, all bottom-end bearings & seals, and of course gaskets.
- Oil reed & timing chain—basically, everything that was worn was replaced.
- 1981 250CR 40mm fork front end (rebuilt with new seals).
- 1983 leading-link front wheel & brake system (best front drum brakes Husky made).
- Rear shocks have been rebuilt.
- 1985 frame/swingarm was from a low-hour bike.
- New intake flange and air filter, sitting in a custom-built air box.
- All controls are Magura, and that's an original set of CR vintage bars.
- Engine starts easily hot or cold.
- Left-hand cover has had a repair, as shown in the pictures.
