MK 4 Metisse BSA 441 Victor Engine Pre 65 Twinshock Classic Vintage Scrambles Motocross Moto x AHRMA

This bike originally had a 1971 Husqvarna 400 4-speed engine fitted along with Ceriani forks & Rickman wheels however the bike was never run or used in this format

We rebuilt the bike around 1994 using a fully rebuilt 441 Victor engine. CZ forks. clamps. wheels & Marzocchi shocks to produce a superb bike. Everybody who has tried it finds that the Mk4 is a much more comfortable bike to ride than the Mk3

The head was modified & tuned by the Cylinder Head Shop with A65 Valves fitted. inlet port opened up to 32mmØ. exhaust port opened up to 1½”Ø. centre spark plug fitted (2 plug head) & gas flowed

Interspan twin plug Model 3000MX ignition fitted with silicon copper core HT leads. Serial No: 793071/1

After cleaning the carburettor out we started the bike. mechanically the engine sounds very good it also revved out cleanly (see our facebook page) the gearbox & clutch worked fine

In general the plastics are pretty good with the exception of the rear mudguard. which has a couple of small chunks out

Apart from 1 meeting roundabout 2010 the bike has stood in my garage since 1998. fuel is always drained from the tank

Engine runs on Morris MLR40 oil

We cannot see any cracks in the frame tubes or welds that are normally associated with nickel-plated frames

I think that apart from a few basic checks this bike is ready to go racing
