This very rare and much sought after tax exempt 1973 Yamaha TX650 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 16503 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing. a few bits damaged/broken. a few bits rusty/corroded. a few bits non standard & a few bits are very nice indeed.

The engine is cosmetically clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression – When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it fires & tries to start but it. obvious the carbs need attention.

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.
WE HAVE GOT THE ORIGINAL AMERICAN CERTIFICATE OF TITLE.
We will provide proof that VAT & Duty are paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION
1. You need to get the bike MOT'd.
2. You need to prove the year of manufacture. The American Title will do this.
3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.
4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current fee for the road tax.
5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
