Description
BSA D1 Bantam 125cc 1961 Plunger
Here is a very good opportunity to own one of the most fondly remembered and universally owned British bikes: nice early plunger D1 Bantam very tidy cosmetic condition.
Good gears & clutch. decent brakes and working D-shaped Smith's speedo.
Daylight MOT The bike comes with V5C registration. ASJ 340 (cannot be transferred to another vehicle).
BSA Owners Club Dating Cert and Declared manufacture 1961. Eligible for Historic vehicle Class free road tax.
Frame number is BD2S76010. Engine number is BDB 9107.
Cosmetically the bike is in very good tidy condition. Not freshly restored or concours just a tidy old bike!
The enamel on the frame is generally excellent and of a high quality.
There are however a few marks here & there & some signs of ageing.
The tank is generally good but the pin-stripes are fading in places.
Rims are both Dunlop with excellent enamel. Seat is sound but old looking. Exhaust system is excellent.
Front and rear tyres are very good. No fin damage on the cylinder barrel and I think none on the head either.
All in all this a lovely little Bantam. any British bike collection would not be complete without one of these little tiddlers.
Don't miss this famous little BSA!
