BSA A50 Royal STAR 1969

Bought by my father around 1995 been in the family since.
This bike was in regular use by myself for around 10 years from 1996 until 2005. Over that time it had various upgrades to improve reliability including.
Electronic ignition and solid state rectifier.
rebore and unleaded conversion to head.
Srm Needle roller bearing conversion.
New wheels - Stainless steel rims and spokes.
Upgraded clutch
Speedo overhauled ( mileage reading on bike is not true mileage)

The bike has some surface rust mark on some surfaces. but when cleaned up look not to bad. I never thought of it as a show bike just a bike to have fun on.
When in use it was very reliable and comfortable.
It was a US export style with smaller teardrop style tank and wide bars. it also has side reflectors on the rear light an below the fuel tank and powerful twin leading shoe front brake.
Matching engine & frame numbers.
The bike has no mot but I cannot see anything which would cause it to fail a test.
I have just done an oil change and fired it up and it is running fine with no smoke.
