Description
Here is a nice period bobber Knucklehead. Solid running and fully road worthy bike with 12v electrics, auto advance ignition, S&S Super B carburetor with a Superbowl (has accelerator pump) and belt drive primary. Meant to ride. Engine has been converted to FL 74" using 1941 and later Knucklehead 74 flywheels. Has later fatbob tanks with side petcock.
Has correct 1938 frame, forks and left engine case (unmatched cases with 1939 right case). Post War big port cylinder heads. Has footshift mod using a Panhead mousetrap and ratchet transmission top. 1947 dash. 1949-53 Panhead handlebars. Trimmed back OEM solo seat. Comes with modern Contenintal tires, but you can run Coker Firestone jobs if you want that look.
The CA VIN blue frame tag matches the engine case number because the CHP VIN officer was impressed with the bike and did me a big favor when I went in for the VIN inspection and blue tag. I did not ask for this either, but was very happy when he showed me the number he issued me. OEM original engine case VIN on a CA blue frame tag. Never saw that before.
