Sunbeam S7 Deluxe

For sale is my 1950 Sunbeam S7 Deluxe, l purchased the bike in October 2000, it was a 95% complete bike but a total rebuild was required ! All the metalwork is metal, no fibreglass, the mudguards are the originals, all was restored, on the photos you can see the front mudguard is just starting to erupt, but its 20 yrs since it was last repaired, its perfectly sound only cosmetic . The engine was a complete rebuild, re bored, crank reground etc . The frame and wheels are powder coated, new rims were used ! Some modifications I implemented were custom made clutch springs, to reduce the heavy feel of the clutch on the lever, its not been a problem slipping, but I do have the originals if you prefer a good hand workout ! The other modifications are electronic regulator on 12v electrics, the carburettor is better thermally isolated to reduce hot start issues on hot days and the crank breather is connected to the inlet manifold to keep negative pressure in the crankcase, keeps the oil in ! The ignition is now running as wasted spark, eliminating the rotor arm and distributor cap, the points are still used and again you could put it back to standard, simply buy another rotor arm If you are a purist all this can be put back to standard, no problem . So it's an older restoration, 20 yrs ago, but it's a good reliable machine . My reason for selling is a new project . Buyer must pay and collect within 7 days of the auction finishing
