Overview
The item currently for sale is our own restored 1968 Vespa 150 Sprint scooter. This bike is a great example of italian style and the essence of fuel economy. The bike has a 150cc motor with 4 speed manual transmission. The bike was purchased in 2008, stored for a few years, restored in 2012 here in Florida, and delightfully enjoyed for approximately 400 miles. After 12 years with us, she is now she is ready to go to her new scoot loving home. The bike comes with a State of Florida certificate of title, build books, shop manuals and her grey Prima bike cover. She also comes with a factory Piaggio front rack that we decided not to install... I thought it was too much grocery racking for a scooter.
Exterior
For starters, the exterior of the bike is in very condition. The white/blue finish shows very few signs of wear except for some very minor details that are barely noticeable. The bike has been very well cared for and never dropped. The motor/trans were also rebuilt in 2012, clutch and gears were looked over and everything was in road ready conditions when it was all said and done. She's had 423 miles put on the clock since the restoration. All other exterior components are in tact and in good working condition including head light, tail light, horn, etc. The bike is styling 3 new white wall tires including the spare. The transmission also shifts nicely throughout all 4 gears and brakes work well too.
Interior
Upholstery wise, the seats and spare tire cover were done in the same material and are still in new-like condition, the vespa foot pad is in great shape which was installed from the newer bikes which gives the bike a little flare at the foot area. Grips are still in great shape.
