Mileage on the speedometer is what was put on the bike since then. It has correct items for the 1947 year model. This includes, Motolamp Headlight, 1947 Corbin Red Bar Face Speedometer, Slant Faced Amp Meter, Narrow Speedometer Cable, Indian Head Fender Light etc. If you know what you are looking at, you know.
I recently drained the oil, cleaned the fuel tank, replaced oil with Valvoline 50 wt. Racing oil, installed a new petcock with screen, and installed a totally rebuilt correct Linkert 344 Carburetor, which has not even had fuel in it yet. I planned on firing it back up, but winter is here and I don't want to have gas go into it and sit for months. I have other Indians and have to thin the herd, this one has to go. Otherwise I wouldn't be selling. It has 28 year old paint and is not a show bike. Blemishes etc. It's a Non-Matching Numbers 47 engine in a 47 frame.
Also have items that go with the bike not shown... Battery hold down, New Grips, New Horn Mounting Hardware, Original Correct Horn Face, Manual.
It would make a great rider that you aren't afraid to get dirty, just have fun.
