I purchased this bike in Illinois in 2004. Have been collecting parts for it since. Finally got around to finishing it last winter. The title is clear and in my name. The exhaust system is original Kawasaki. The right hand #3 & #4 pipes are new old stock, and the left #1 & #2 pipes are solid originals. The Chrome on the left top pipe has some "speckling" on it that can be seen in a few of the photos. The front forks have been rebuilt with new upper legs, seals and dust boots + fresh fork oil. Front yoke bearings have been cleaned and re-greased. The original 1973 head has been rebuilt with new guides, valves and valve seals. At that time new piston rings where installed. The rings are original Kawasaki items and it retains the stock bore. Also installed a new cam chain. The carburetor to head rubber intakes are also new. The rubber air cleaner box is a new reproduction and has a new K & N reusable air filter. Has the Dyna-tech ignition with 3ohm coils, so no points and condensers to fool with. Also new spark plugs. Tires and tubes are new. New sprockets and drive chain. New master cylinder and new front brake caliper. New sealed battery this year. Front and rear fenders are triple chrome plated. The original owners manual is in the tail section. The cylinder head has the early "bosses" on it that can be seen in one of the photo's and the front fork lowers are the early type. The complete wire harness is new. Also has a new speedometer and tachometer, and a reproduction dash. The key and locks are original Kawasaki (755 number key). All of the cables are new, as is the horn.
Starts right up, idles nice, and shifts just like you would expect. Motorcycle oil and filter are also new. Does not have the factory chain oiler on it. As you can see this bike was done to the euro specks with the Yellow/green paint, long rear "mud guard", seat strap, and the kilometer speedo. The front Kawasaki factory I.D. tag is worn, and I did purchase a new replacement but did not install it. The new replacement tag will come with the bike and will be up to the new owner to install or leave like it is. Please see photo's of this. The new replacement I.D. tag will be placed in the owners manual.
I will assist with shipping, but you must make the arrangements and pay for shipping. I can not crate it. If you are picking it up cash is the only way to pay for it. Checks are O.K., but they must clear the bank before the bike departs. Personal checks take up to 2 weeks to clear. Link to YouTube cold start video: https://youtu.be/fWpCpnKAhWM
