1950 BSA Bantam D1 Rigid trials

Excellent condition bantam here for sale. It is a d1 but has a 175 engine fitted. Classed as a historic vehicle so no tax and mot required. Purchased last year during lockdown and in hindsight I have no idea why. Starts runs and drives. rear mudguard and chain guard are currently removed but are here. I googled the reg and it came up with this description:

The Bantam proved to be amenable to use off road from the outset and the factory introduced a competition model during 1950 based on the D1 125cc model. The success of the early competition models was not exploited by BSA who subsequently ignored their little two stroke until the late sixties, however owners continued to modify the little bike for off road use with considerable success.
This machine is fitted with a 175cc D7 engine housed in a professionally modified, rigid frame which can accommodate a 4.00 x 18 rear tyre. Heavy duty front forks, alloy rims and trials tyres are also fitted. It is described as being in good condition in all respects having been restored during 1996.

The only issues this bike has are that there is no side stand or centre stand and the right hand foot rest has been cut off but I do have it and will attempt to rectify.

I removed the left side engine cover to clean and looking at the photos realised I have not put it back. I will do so obviously. its not missing.

It is registered as a 125 on the V5c registration document.
