Description
1974Kawasaki H2B!
VERY FAST! The original WIDOWMAKER!
2 owner bike. I've owned it for 42 years. Bought the fastest bike in the world 3 days after my 18th birthday because Dad wouldn't let me own a motorcycle.
Originally purchased by my cousin's husband. His wife made him park it in the barn after one season so he wouldn't get killed.
It sat in the barn for 3 years until I bought it.
Lucky I made it to 19! Wheelie and hole shot machine!
A standard, factory produced H2 was able to travel a quarter mile from a standing start in 12.0 seconds.
In 1974 the H2B engine was modified for more civilized performance at the expense of raw power. The race tail was slimmed down from the previous year. An oil-based steering damper and check valve were added. The power was reduced to 71 horsepower (53 kW) at 6,800 rpm. The oil injection system was substantially changed with two separate sets of injection lines, unlike the earlier models with one set of lines. Oil was injected into the carburetors on a separate line. The oil injection to the bottom end bearings (both main and rod big ends) was retained as a single branched line. A longer swing arm improved stability. The final model had a weight of 208 kilograms (459 lb).
Just a little over 11,500 miles.
This model was still national champion drag bike in the quarter mile for 5 years after it went out of production!
Replaced all the dry rotted rubber parts and grommets, replaced all fuel and oil lines, new clutch and battery.
New original seat cover and grips. Carbs have been professionally rebuilt.
Two ignition keys!
Included is the original owner's manual and tool kit that came with the bike (virtually impossible to find) as well as a shop manual. Also included as part of the package is a complete upper engine rebuild kit (with gaskets) and an extra carb, carb gaskets, an extra set of original oil lines (very hard to find) and other misc. parts (turn signals with lenses, headlight ring, oil pump cover, new spark plugs, motor mount and cover bolts, a petcock and gaskets).
It is 47 years old and has some normal wear and tear you expect of a street ridden bike this old.
Everything works!
