Description
The Honda enthusiast will recognise this superb specimen as Honda's flagship of the early V4 era, closely following the VF750F. This is the second incarnation which includes refinements and upgrades over the superseded 1984 production.
This bike has been in my collection for some years. It boasts extensive full ownership documented history, along with Owner's Manual, tool kit, and original reg documents as pictured. In brief, the bike was purchased new by a fastidious Northern Ireland enthusiast. On his passing, the bike remained garaged until bequeathed to a family member who subsequently placed it for sale. After being purchased by another UK enthusiast it was revitalised with fluid change, carb cleaning, battery, and upgrade to braided brake lines, and new Avon tyres. He had it for only a short while before offering it for sale, in what might have been an 'entrepreneurial' move. Therefore, two of the noted 'previous owners' afforded the bike little, if any, use. I have continued to preserve the bike in climate-controlled store with battery on tender. It has done minimal miles under my ownership but regularly run.
Paint work is next to flawless, no nicks on seat, and tyres, chain and sprockets in very good condition. Exhaust collector box also perfect and original end cans excellent, save for tiny pinhead ding on RHS can. Fairings and all 'plastics' are original. Pillion peg hangar is original but was powder coated by original owner to improve aesthetics. The pedantic prospective owner could easily reverse this. The only other departures from original is the discrete inclusion of a battery tender fly lead with TM plug, and a new YSS rear shock fitted by local Honda dealer. Air lines remain on bike for originality. Original shock accompanies the bike with sale. Extensive document pack including original VF1000R sales brochure PLUS a rear paddock stand will accompany the sale.
The bike runs and rides to perfection. Whether to ride or preserve, this bike will not disappoint. It was very recently Mot'd to provide prospective purchaser confidence in the bike's condition and to offer it as 'road ready'.
This bike is on a UK DVLA V5 and in my name. Terms will be bank transfer and cash.
