1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 Z1R, Blue

This is a beautiful 1978 Kawasaki Z1R with only 5897 original miles and clean clear title in hand. It has been restored with a near flawless Stardust Silver paint set professionally done to look like it did when it came out of the factory. The paint looks fantastic with the original energetic, robust shimmering Stardust Metallic Silver that these came with. Many nuts and bolts have been either polished, re-chromed or replaced and the engine has been meticulously painted back to the original state. The exhaust is a 4/1 higher end Kerker Exhaust for better performance and the seat has a new seat cover on the original foam and pan but the rest of the bike is original. The gas tank and carbs are currently dry but we started the engine on an iv and it sounds wonderful! We also just changed the oil but the oil taken out was pristine, as is the engine when we viewed it from the bottom with the pan and filter off. The battery and air filter are brand new and all the lights, turn signals, and switches work perfectly. The bike has original matching frame and engine numbers with original factory sticker and the gussets and steering stopper are all pristine and straight.
The bike does still need some things such as the carbs being dialed in and possibly some rubber seals/gaskets replaced and the brakes need to be bled but all the important and expensive restoration work has been done.
This bike would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection!
