Description
Up for sale is the Folsom Flathead by Alleyway Kustoms
This little Flathead has a Clear 1942 Harley Davidson title and has been seen all around the country with us at National motorcycle shows this past year including: Tennessee Motorcycle and Music revival, The Congregation show in Charlotte NC, The Born Free Show in Oak Canyon California, and multiple events around the State of Florida.
The Motorcycle currently resides on the showroom floor at Adamec Harley Davidson in Jacksonville Florida and has been captured in photos by the iconic real film photographer Dean Landry, Jim Arbogast, Bryan Helm and many others!
The Most recognized photos of the bike are with it's first 18/21 wheel combo, however the bike now sits with the proper 18 inch front and rear 40 spoke stock Harley Davidson wheels rebuilt with powder coated rims, stainless spokes and. Correct original 1942 Hubs With brand new Avon tires.
It is also the proper Tank shift/ Foot clutch as opposed to the Jockey shift in previous pictures
The Motor, frame, and transmission are original 1942. Motor and transmission have been reassembled within factory specs. The Engine runs as it should, returns oil etc. and does not overheat or smoke and has aftermarket “lightened” (holes drilled in) aftermarket aluminum heads
The front end is a 3 year only OEM VLD front end
The handlebars are vintage/period made Bars that are a Harley Davidson top clamp with Indian grips/controls found at a swap meet and restored to working order
Spark comes from a Hot Morris magneto and fires first or second kick through the linkert carburetor
The gas tanks are Brand new aftermarket split tanks, and the rear fender is a aftermarket original style that has been narrowed to fit the rear tire width
The bike as stated earlier generally sits on display at the dealership with no fluid in it, but is a running riding bike that could easily be raced or turned into a street- able daily rider
This is a personal bike from my collection and is only being sold to free up some cash for future projects.
