Description
Offered for sale is the very original 1971 BSA B50SS Gold Star. Sold with a bill of sale (title was lost by the previous owner). A fantastic survivor in great condition. A genuine low mileage machine still in original paint with all it's factory parts still present. It was sitting in hibernation last on the road in 1999. After taking possession the fluids were changed and carburetor stripped and cleaned, a new battery was installed and after many kicks it fired and runs very well. I established that with the correct technique this is no a one kick bike, secret is not to tickle the carb. Just fuel and ignition on and a good kick seems to fire it into life. The paint on the front fender shows some scuffing and as you can see the sun has caused the right side to fade more but it still looks great. Overall condition is good used and this can be seen in the photographs below. Like i stated it has survived well retaining all the parts it left the factory with. The chrome on the rear shocks has not worn well. Lucas electrics function correctly, lights and horn etc. Sold with the original key. There is a 3" tear on the left side of the seat cover on the lower edge, foam is still soft and comfortable. Being sold with the original sales invoice from back in 1971 when this bike was sold new as well as the owners manual.
Please check out all the photos as well as the you tube clip of it starting.
The bike is located in Los Angeles.
Being sold on a bill of sale as well as an application for duplicate title form both signed by the owner on record. It is on record with the CA DMV and in on non operation status, the title was lost by the owner of record.
