Description
Genuine SX200, first UK registered in Coventry in October 1966.
Restored in 2012 by Stuart Owen (100mph Club) to exact Arthur Francis S-Type specification, featuring a Smiths chronometric speedo, Lucas spot and fog lamps (all working), double engine mount, and a period-correct colour scheme—standard SX200 New White with Trafalgar Blue.
The engine was rebuilt in 2018 by Cambridge Lambretta with no expense spared, using top uprated parts. I then added the bulletproof cast iron barrel GT200 kit with a reed valve, top-of-the-range Casa electrics, the latest BGM Big Box, and a genuine Rimini Series 3 Pegasus seat (the original Coke Bottle seat is also included).
I've taken this scooter everywhere, and it has never let me down. No expense has been spared in keeping it in perfect working condition, meticulously serviced so it starts within a couple of kicks and runs quick and smooth.
There are some marks, chips, and a small crack in the rear right foot runner, but personally, I would never repaint it—this is one of the few remaining Stuart Owen creations still around and is still used as the profile picture for the 100mph Lambretta Facebook page.
Scooters like this rarely come up for sale, especially one that has been in the UK since 1966 and not imported from a barn in Italy!
I hope people will appreciate the price I'm asking. I'm not in a rush to sell, so no silly offers, but I'm happy to discuss sensible ones.
