Barn find, Very strong running and one of most well build and reliable URAL base on 1939 BMW R71, build with Pre war German tooling, a clone adapted in 1942 for Russian Army. Come with matching sidecar in 1942 design ( suspension seat ). A proven machine and with reliable and easy to work with minor mechanical skill. This M72 was built in 1956 and it's last 2 year of M72 production run in Russia.
The frame # is 118629 engine # 128623.
The frame neck ID tag match the numbers and indication they are originally built in IMZ with the exact frame and engine when it left the factory. Engine, Carbs and transmission was rebuild & renewed by previous owner. ( see photo of part receipt).
Motorcycle run strong and easy to start. Stop as good as sidecar rig should. Run and drive, transmission cycle through gears ( see video, short video was limited due to my sidecar driving skill). This 66 years old vintage bike with old patina, some paint chips lost, and paint touch ups. The inside of the gas tank is clean please refer pictures for condition. Bike has both CT Bill of Sale & Clear Massachusetts title. Sale is final and it is “AS IS”.
