Description
1956 BSA BB34 Goldstar Rep 500cc, fabulous bike with V5c
Here is an eye-catching BSA Goldstar rep in beautiful all round, easy starting, sweet running condition. The engine sounds great and doesn't smoke. It rides well, very lively for a 500 single and everything is in good working order. Gears and clutch are good, brakes are excellent, 6V dynamo is charging properly and lights are good. Regulator is modern electronic JG unit. Smith's 120mph speedometer is working well. The bike was owned by an older, very experienced enthusiast who owned several Goldstars and other classics all of which he'd rebuilt to a very good useable standard. Sadly ill health forced him to sell his entire collection. There are undated bills to £3655 from Graham Horne, the Ariel specialist. The bike comes with up to date V5C doc, registration number 922 XVW, declared manufactured 1956. Frame number EB31.4206, engine number ZB34.A.3450 both these numbers match the V5C. It is registered as an historic vehicle therefore road tax is free and the bike is MOT exempt.
Cosmetically the bike is in really fine condition. It was clearly restored a while back and has been used but still is in excellent all round cosmetic condition. The frame has excellent stove enamel. Tank has a very nice paint job and has been lined internally with a modern white ethanol proof coating. All bright work is very good. Rims are both excellent but spokes are old dull type. Front tyre is a Dunlop TT100 as new, rear is also TT100 about 50% worn. There is no fin damage on the lovely all alloy motor. Seat is like new, exhaust is excellent. Very sound centre stand and excellent original BSA sidestand fitted. All in all this is a great little Goldie rep. Bags of style and character and no need to worry about whether it's a genuine Goldie or not. It is what is is, a thoroughly nice old BSA exactly in the style that many a kid would have rocked up on at the local café in the 60's. Don't miss this good looking classic BSA 500cc Goldstar rep. Selling as a good runner!
