Description
For sale a GE1 RD 500LC very low mileage 5927 km or 3852 miles – 1986 - £19750.
She has Been well treated – with no expense spared maintenance wise I have put on 2 new tyres – both Continentals – no mileage on them - £260 for the pair - plus £20 a wheel for fitting. New HAL Stainless steel brake lines front and back - £200 – fitted by Riders of Bridgwater. New exhaust copper exhaust gaskets on the front pipes – 4.99 each. The lower exhaust have been re-painted – by zertech – sand blasted the heat treated – they look the business - £400.
All of the carbs removed – completely overhauled if new gaskets – floats – jets everything. They were also stripped down and placed in an ultrasonic bath – they look like new - £800 including labour – Fitted by Riders of Bridgwater. New throttle cable – all three bits – the push the pull and upper part fitted by Riders of Bridgwater - £100. Full service carried out by Riders of Bridgwater – specialist gearbox oil was needed. They cleaned the oil lines and check out to make sure the were good and pumping correctly All fluids changed – full service - £350. Recent chain and sprockets – from memory I paid around £100.
New Disc Brake and new EBC pads – no mileage - £116 for the Disc and £16 for the pads. Only 4/5 months left on the MOT – I only done around 50 miles since the last MOT. a NEW Battery. Also in included but not fitted is a brand new set of plugs and NGK Red Caps – I have fitted then – cost Around £30. Total Spent £2412 pounds. I have most of the receipts – but you can see all the parts are as new – I have all of the old parts.
She runs well – look stunning – and from the photos you can tell she only done 3900 miles. I don't have a tool kit or the service log – I saw a original tool kit on Ebay for £150 – worth it in the long run. The paint work is generally very good – but if you wanted to make her concourse – you need a paint job by someone like dream machine. Taking in to consideration the money I have spent to bring her up to A1 mechanically – take that off and your getting a low mileage GE1 for just 18k – you can rider away with the peace of mind that every that needed going was done.
She has a few small scratches and bumps – but she is nearly 36/37 years old. I have two keys – Log book in my name some old MOTs – and receipts. Why am I selling her – just 2 busy – I started my own company – I don't get the time to rider her – I don't have to sell her – but she looks a sad an lonely in my garage – I in my 50ths so I will let her go to a new home.
So the asking price is £20k there going up in price and a good investment. She in in Somerset about 3 miles from J23 on the M5. No tyre kickers – dreamers – and there are no free rides until the money via Bank Transfer is in my account I think the first to see her will probably buy her OH she has a reg plate that shows the bike was originally supplied by Craigs Honda at some point in her life.
