If you're in the market for an exceptional example of this marque, your search ends here with my 1969 MK1 BSA Rocket 3. I'm not just a seller; I'm a lifelong motorcycling rider-aficionado with a genuine love for these two-wheeled wonders, having owned motorcycles for the past five decades, British triples have been my passion.
Apart from the added chrome and stainless steel enhancements, this beauty is exactly how she came off the production line in 1969. She has been meticulously cared for and cherished, both by me and the two previous owners, who the previous used to proudly showcase her at the iconic Ace Cafe.
What sets this 1969 BSA Rocket 3 MK1 apart is its unwavering commitment to its original design, with only a handful of tasteful enhancements, including:
While she may not be a concourse winner, she's in impeccable condition, both in appearance and performance. She could easily pass for a show winner, but she's so much more than a showpiece. The engine purrs flawlessly, offering a dependable, exhilarating, and thoroughly enjoyable riding experience.
As much as it pains me, I'm reluctantly parting ways with this classic due to collection of other motorcycles and limited riding time. I believe she deserves a new owner who will not only appreciate her heritage but also relish the thrill of riding her on the open road.
If you're a discerning and serious buyer seeking an authentic motorcycle with a tiny touch of individuality, this 1969 MK1 BSA Rocket 3 is a rare find.
The bad is that today I noticed that the left hand fork gator has a spit in it. And also the handlebar kill switch need replacing.
Don't hesitate to reach out for more information or to schedule a viewing. I'm more than happy to answer any questions about this meticulously maintained masterpiece. Viewing is not just welcomed; it's encouraged.
This a genuine classic with a few tasteful enhancements. If you've been on the hunt for a proper machine, your search ends here.
Note: the V5 states that the machine was first registered in 1969 and also that she was first UK registered in 2004. So am assuming she was originally supplied abroad or sold new in the UK and never used until registered in 2004. Maybe the BSA owners club could clarify? In any event it takes nothing away from this fantastic machine.
Registered as an Historic vehicle - TAX and MOT exempt and ULEZ compliant!
The balance paid via Bank transfer on the day of collection.
