Description
1947 Harley Davidson Knucklehead.
For sale is my titled, running and riding 1947 Harley Davidson Knucklehead. Motor designation is FL which shows the bike is 74 cubic inches or 1200cc.
This patina bike has very few reproduction parts on it including the rear taillight rear glass, the two exhaust head pipes and the kicker cover which has been on the bike for a long time as far as I am aware.
The frame, fork, fenders, gas tanks, headlight, speedometer, seat and almost every component of this motorcycle are original with unbeatable patina. The gas tanks have a period modification where a later more reliable petcock was added. The original gas shut off set up is still present. I believe the handlebars are original Flanders style handlebars with the short grips.
This knucklehead start right up after two priming kicks every time and rides well. This will make a great patina rider for someone.
Title in hand. Immediate non-refundable deposit of $500. Bike is sold as is. I will assist with shipping in any way I can. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
The frame is original and appears to have the sidecar loops and the dash mount replaced. The toolbox mount was also removed at some point. All of these were common period modifications which add to the patina of the bike. The belly numbers on the motor are matching 1947 numbers.
