2003 Harley-Davidson Softail

This bike started as a 2003 Anniversary Harley Softail Springer. When purchased, it had no tins or dash. True mileage is unknown.
I stripped the bike down to the frame and rebuilt it from there.

The frame has been cleaned, factory rough areas smoothed, and repowder-coated in semi-gloss black.
The engine was cleaned and regasketed, with new S&S cams and tensioners installed. It has an Arlen Ness air cleaner and aftermarket rocker box covers. Vance & Hines Longshots exhaust pipes are installed.

All sheet metal is factory Harley, except for the Klock Werks rear fender. A newer Harley tombstone taillight has been frenched into the rear fender—we had to french it to set the light lower into the fender. All sheet metal was painted in a 2025 Jeep color called Earl.

Wheels are 18" and 21" fat spokes (black with chrome spokes). Tires are brand new, along with new rotors and sprockets.

The front end is a later 41mm model that's been heavily customized to achieve the current lowered stance without raking the neck. Fork sliders were shortened by about 2 inches, and bump stops were added to prevent the nacelle from hitting the fender.

The nacelle is from a '60s Shovelhead—it has been raised an inch to hide the airlines and stretched at the bottom to cover the trees. Handlebars are Biltwell Chumps that have been narrowed. The bike also has a Dakota Digital dash.

The build was completed last winter, and only a few miles have been put on it since. Front and rear air ride provide a great riding experience.
The goal with this bike was to build a nice, clean rider.

Additional Notes:
Turn signals are integrated into the headlight and there are small LEDs in the rear.
A horn is installed inside the nacelle.
The only thing it doesn't have is a fuel gauge.
