Laverda 750 SFC

An exceptionally rare opportunity to purchase 1 of only 3 examples ever built. This is a Laverda "Palmelli" SFC. These were sanctioned by Piero Laverda and built by Palmer & Elliot, hence Palmelli. Built with a 270 degree crank. Slater Laverda. A brief insight into who Slater Laverda is/was. Slater Brothers, In addition to the Jota, Slater Brothers were also responsible for the development of the Montjuic, Mirage, Alpino S and Formula Mirage which sold worldwide. The company was restructured and in 1986 Richard Slater and his business partner Mary Bufton, who had been with Slater Laverda since 1980, continued with the supply of spare parts to both the trade and direct to the Laverda owner. I think it fair to say they were the U.K. arm of the Factory.
The machine offered for sale has had only 3 Owners, the first being the Son of Aston Martin chairman Victor Gauntlett, who documented the first outing when collected from Herefordshire and rode it to Le Mans, and numerous other Classic motorcycle events, including Dijon Prenois, Festival of 1000 bikes, all pictures are in the history file.
The second owner was Richard Hammond, it was the centre piece of his large collection of exotic Motorcycles, and featured in his most recent book about Motorcycles.
This magnificent and rare motorcycle has covered just under 5500 miles from new, has been cherished, serviced and maintained perfectly, cosmetically it is as new, and rides and sounds glorious. It has perfect provenance from new, including original invoice, and all service records, it is ready to use immediately. It is fitted with a correct aluminium petrol tank, and was most recently serviced in November 2025.
