Description
Want to draw a crowd every where you go? Get thumbs ups from everyone on the road? Look no further! This 2002 Panzer Captain America Replica Chopper is one of a very limited production of Captain replicas built by Panzer and was created as a replica of the most famous motorcycle in the world.
The Captain America chopper is among the most instantly recognizable motorcycles in popular culture, immortalized by its appearance in the 1969 film “Easy Rider.”
I bought her in 2004 with 900 miles on her from the original owner. Since then, I have put about 2,600 loving miles on her for a total of only 3,536 original miles! It has always been stored in a garage when not ridden.
The bike is completely original from the 90ci S&S Neo-Pan engine, 5 speed transmission, chrome hard-tail frame, ape hangers, sissy bar and gorgeous fishtail exhaust.
The painted teardrop tank is perfect! There is some slight pitting developing on the chrome. I wouldn't call the chrome perfect, but I'd say it's normal for chrome this age. Look closely at the pics. I usually hit her with some chrome polish and she cleans up pretty well for the season. This time, I just washed her down, put some fresh gas in her and fired her up for the first time this season. From what I could find, there were between 50-150 of these bikes ever produced by Panzer and they rarely come up for sale. The only reason that I'm selling her is because of health issues preventing me from enjoying her as much as I should. So, I thought I'd let someone else enjoy her. You may never have another chance at one of these. I have been looking for decades and have only seen a few come up for sale.
Please ask any questions and if you need any specific photos, just ask and I'll do my best.
I will also include the original owner's manuals and a matching helmet.
Buyer responsible for pick up or delivery. Bike will not be released until all funds have been transferred & cleared.
Bike was just serviced with oil & filter change, new battery, and oil pump check ball was re-seated & replaced to address wet sumping issue. If you're familiar with Harleys that are stored for more than a few weeks, you know about this common issue of spitting oil from the breather upon starting after storage.
Tires show no dry rot, but are 24 years old and should probably be replaced for safety before any serious riding is done.
