1964 BSA A65 Lightning

Dispatched from the works 16th Oct. 1964 this 650cc Lightning was a USA export model that stayed in the States until 1998 when it returned to the UK and was registered as ‘EFG 443B'. Since then it has has 5 keepers in total. the last owner having spent some £1. 00 on maintenance in the last year. this included general servicing. fixing the charging system the fitment of a Boyer electric ignition system. In addition the cylinder head has just had a rebuild and two new Amal MK1 concentric carbs have been fitted and a further cost of £450. A matching number bike it has a dating certificate to authenticate. plus bills for the recent work. In generally good cosmetic condition. the body work is in good order with no dents in the tank. The bike starts easily and runs well with plenty of power and no smoke from the motor. This is generally a fine example in good running order with its original street scrambler styling intact. it is supplied with a UK V5C logbook and a small history file.
