Description
Harley Davidson FXR 1340 Evo
This is my Mums Harley. she bought it in 2000 after falling in love with it. It has been and still is cherished. loved and ridden and as such is an Excellent Condition. She has spent thousands on it having it customised and the engine professionally rebuilt and regularly maintained by the renowned Will Burrow at his Harley Davidson workshop in Garstang. Preston. www.willburrowmotorcycles. com
I am selling it for her so that it is less upsetting for her to see it go. The reason she is selling it is because it is time to buy a trike and trailer so that she can continue rallying and partying with her bike club mates.
Ok about the bike.
Looking through the receipts it is frightening how much she has spent on it but it was never about the money.
The Wild West Polished Billet Custom Wheels came from America and cost £1026.
The fantastic Evo engine had a complete motor strip down in 2008 including clean. blast. paint. & rebuild complete with camshaft balancing. valve seats cut. replacing all seals and bearings. New ignition coil. regulator rectifier. Infact having a look back through the receipts over the years she has spent approx. £5000 on having the bike Customised. Rebuilt. Painted and maintained. Including wheel bearings. vented brake discs. 4 pot brake calliper on front wheel. fork springs. seat re-covered. primary chain the list goes on and you are welcome to look through all the receipts and old mot's when you come to check the bike out.
Looking through the old MOT's I got a little confused so I spoke to my mum to clarify a few question which you are bound to ask.
I have MOTs from 1997 to 2001 total recorded mileage at that time 14786.
There are missing MOT's from 2002 – 2006.
My mum bought the bike in 2002.
Sometime 2002 -2006 my mum began having the bike customised and had a bigger Harley tank put onto the bike. The Centre console and Speedo did not fit the bigger tank so a new Harley console and Speedo was fitted resulting in the mileage counter starting from zero.
The MOT starting May 2006 has a recorded mileage of 1469 miles.
My mum had the engine reconditioned in April 2008.
WHY. Because at that time the engine from new had covered approx. 25 thousand miles and she was thinking about buying a new Harley but could not afford one so she decided to spend money on making her engine as ‘new' as possible by having it rebuilt by the best Harley guy Will Burrows.
The remaining MOT's that I have with a recorded mileage run from 2006 at 1469 miles to 16600 miles in April 2013. The Mot lasts till April 2014.
So since the engine rebuild in April 2008 the engine has covered 12767 miles this is because the March 2008 MOT has a recorded mileage of 4672 miles and today as the bike sits in my garage it has 17439 miles on the clock.
I hope that all this info has not put you off the bike. It is a fantastic machine. Please call me to arrange a viewing of the Harley or to ask questions or if you would prefer to talk to my mum then call me and I will put you in contact with her.
The bike also has sissy pad & rack and pannier rails so it is ready to tour and ride now.

It's also a Wide Glide.
