1971 Yamaha R5 350 Classic Vintage, Rarer then the YR5 350, Similar to YDS7 250

Probably one of the rarer two-stroke finds out there.

Here we have a nice, ready-to-ride twin 2-stroke 350 Yamaha from 1971 on a J registration plate. Classed as historic, and I must say, a real beauty. Starts and rides as it should. Various bits and bobs have been restored, including fresh chrome, paint, and seat—just the usual things people refresh over time.

Originally registered in the UK in 1971, as shown in the V5C registration document. Forget the mileage, as it only reflects the true iconic nature of this machine. From all accounts, the engine has had new pistons, clutch plates, and the carbs sonically cleaned. The only thing you may want to do to bring this classic up to show standard is to find a new front mudguard, as the current one shows some ageing (not surprising for a 42-year-old bike).

Comes with the original Yamaha parts book, a genuine factory service manual, and lots of paperwork relating to the bike. A real blast from the past.
