BMW R90S. 1976. Excellent Condition. MOT. Matching Numbers

Here is a rare opportunity to buy one of the last R90S bikes ever made. OLE55P left the Berlin factory in May 1976. less than one month before production ceased. and is one of a handful of machines to come originally with the later style. screw-in petrol cap.

I have owned this bike for the past two years and it has been kept in dry storage along with my small collection of cars and bikes. A new MOT was obtained at the beginning of this week and the bike was test run and it is a dream to ride.

The previous owner spent thousands of pounds and hundreds of hours getting her into the beautiful condition you see in the photographs. Complete new paintwork which is stunning. new seat. re-spoked wheels (using stainless spokes). stainless spindles. and a full stainless Keihan exhaust system. new centre stand. front forks stripped and overhauled. are just a few of the jobs he did. The engine and drivetrain are untouched. but show no signs of untoward wear and so are best left alone. Likewise the frame has a few scratches and scuffs. but this patina adds to the authenticity of the bike. The current mileage is well documented with MOTs on file going back to 1987. There is a copious and detailed A4 file listing numerous Invoices for parts and work. old MOTS. tax discs. even the full details of each and every past owner. and the original Registration Application by the Dealer. Slocombe's in North London.

All electrics and switch gear work perfectly and the MOT centre stated it was quite possibly the nicest BMW he had seen in a very long time.

The bike is now located at my home in Richmond. Surrey.
