Laverda RGS 1000

1983 Laverda RGS1000 UK bike in silver. Taxed until April 2014, no MOT at present, but will have 12 months before sale.

The bike has covered 51,379 km or 32,111 miles. I have covered some 2,000 miles since purchasing it.

I purchased the bike from Keith Nairn at Laverda Scozia, who prepared the bike before my ownership, going through it fully, replacing and upgrading all the major items. All new fluids for fork, engine, and brake/clutch. New primary and cam chains. Reset all valve clearances. Ultrasonic clean and overhaul of the carbs. New Witt DMC2 digital ignition. Overhaul of hydraulic clutch and braking systems. Powder-coated wheels. New bearings. New Bridgestone BT45 tyres. New 530 O-ring chain and sprockets. New Odyssey battery and fitted stainless Jota pipes and collector box.

The bike has a few chips in its original paint but is generally in good condition. The only other picky point is that the headers have some pitting on them.

I have had 2 years of pleasurable riding this motorcycle, which included riding round Olivers Mount racetrack last summer at the Cock of the North meeting with the Laverda Owners Club on parade laps.

My reason for selling is that I have numerous other bikes on my bucket list that I wish to ride before I fall off my perch.
