1966 Triumph Thunderbird Silver/Black

This bike is advertised for a very good friend of mine who does not use the internet. the reason for sale is due to an imminent knee replacement operation and strict orders from the doctor to no longer kick start the bike.

The bike is in very good condition and although he has been unable to start it since last August I have just been to take the pictures and details for him and it started third kick and ran smoothly with no knocking rattling or smoke and ticked over smoothly.

It was supplied from the Triumph factory to Rivetts of London on the 22nd February 1966 and has a certificate from the Vintage Motorcycle Club showing this. the registration shows two previous owners. the present owner bought the bike eight years ago and has maintained it meticulously ever since. when he bought it it had just had a complete restoration by a local Triumph specialist and has been totally reliable. the wheel rims and spokes are in stainless and last year a new battery. complete clutch assembly. primary and rear chains. swinging arm bushes and new rear shocks were fitted. he has also fitted indicators to the bike and the tyres are in good order. The bike has matching engine and frame numbers.
