Description
In early '57 BSA started to produce a heavy-weight off road scrambles machine primarily for the burgeoning U. S. off road scene. It's frame was labeled the lightweight type. n fact this was just the normal A10 for that year. Competition handlebars were used in two bends. Gold Star Scrambles (Low rise) or Western Bars (High rise). The exhaust system was unique to the '57 Rocket Scrambler for that year. the straight through pipes being low "TT" style. exiting half way along the rear swing arm and attached to the frame by small lugs. the pipes had welded on straps. As no dynamo was fitted standard. two dished plates were bolted over the hole in the front of the crankcases. All bikes left the factory without any lights. later on in production a lighting kit could be ordered through your local dealer. This machine is built in homage to the Rocket Scrambler !
