Yamaha 650 1982 XJ Classic Motorbike £425

A forgotten gem. This bike was stored away after its prev owner changed to a Ducati Monster. nothing really unusual there but then the house was rented out and furniture and other goods placed around the bike in the garage which was then locked up and bike forgotten for over 12years! I've drained what little fuel was in the tank/carbs and it is relatively rust free inside the tank. With jump leads. Fresh fuel and a sniff of ether it burst into life! Ran OK. it needs the carbs cleaning/sorting out and a good check over. but there are no odd noises and the engine is rattle and smoke free.
Under the seat I found the Yam tool kit and a little book with service history and other notes in it! Obv came from a loving home! I have also sent for a new VRD as it was not found. This may be a couple of weeks to arrive. letter from DVLA to support this.
fair interest. any watchers/silly offers. but no takers as it is. reduced price considerably as need to make space for H1!
Its got the makings of a really nice bike with only a little effort. new battery ready to go on cost me £60. new starter button was another £18. VRD application £35. so bike actually only £425! bargain! just got too many things to get on with and need some space freed up. PLEASE no more silly offers at £100-£300 that is an insult to the bike!
