Description
1971 Lambretta GP125 (187cc) Italian. Full nut and bolt restoration carried out over the last nine months. Correct 22/1 Innocenti GP125 frame. number beginning 0146xx. Correct 125LI-S engine. number beginning: 0147xx. Resprayed in Yellow Ochre. with the correct Fiat 690 silver. and thorn white. New MOT. taxed for 12 months (historic. so free). V5 present also.
Complete rebuild from the ground up. to the following specification (all parts NEW unless otherwise stated):
Bodywork:
New parts: Legshields. side panels. front and rear mudguards. footboards. stand (Indian used as they have the footboard stop on them) and stainless strengthenging plates. Floor runners by Tutto Lambretta (the very best. out of new mouldings). Tutto side panel rubbers. all other rubbers. Badges all round. I also managed to find an incredibly rare new old stock plastic toolbox from Italy.
Refurbished: Frame. horncasting. fuel tank. cowlings. airbox and airscoop. bridge piece and Ancillotti style seat.
Frame:
New parts: CASA electonic wiring loom. electronic ignition kit (CDI. regulator. stator plate. flywheel). New ignition switch. lights/horn switch. horn. rear light. friction free cables. correct aluminium cable ties. brake light switch. Headset has new rods. pulleys. correct Innocenti GP speedo and new headlamp with halogen bulb. Upper and lower steering bearings and cones. Forks rebuilt with new buffers and progressive springs. Rear shock.
Refurbished: Polished gearchange and throttle housings.
Engine: Bead blasted engine case. mag housing and side cover.
New parts: Rebored 187cc iron barrel with new piston and rings. MEC-eur 58mm Race crankshaft. Bearings: MB Race-Tour rear hub bearing. all others are good quality european SKF flavour. inc front wheel bearings. Engine mounts. clutch sprocket. Surflex clutch plates. chain. front sprocket. Big bore u-bend and exhaust.
Refurbished: Good quality used Innocenti layshaft. gearbox. endplate. Standard Innocenti chain guides. Refurbished Dellorto SH1/20 carb jetted with original Dellorto jets and atomiser to TV175 spec.
Brakes/Wheels:
New parts: Makino shoes front and rear. brake cables- rear is a Knowspeed easy adjust cable. Speedo drive. Dunlop tyres and inner tubes on Chrome rims.
Full dry rebuild before spraying. Stainless fixings used throughout. Rides really well. good acceleration with a nice. smooth and precise gearchange. and good brakes. Just needs running in.
