Description
For sale is my much loved 2009 YZF-R1 14b in the much sought after black/gold colour scheme.
I have owned this bike since early 2010 and in the last 4 years in has not wanted for anything. I always said I would not sell it but unfortunately circumstances are such that it is now being offered to the right home for the right price.
This bike is no Sunday run around and has toured Scotland. been to Europe and even a track or two. hence the higher than average mileage however you will not find a cleaner. better maintained bike. Even from a main dealer showroom. most people can't believe the mileage when I tell them as it looks almost new.
The extras fitted to this bike are the most common however done well and correctly. for example:
Akraprovic street legal end cans (with removable baffles) - new around £1000.
Akraprovic DeCat link pipe - New around £300.
Power Commander V - New around £300.
K&N Air filter kit.
I did have the PC AutoTune fitted to the bike but didn't like it as it kept running rich. this was sold and the bike was sent off for an afternoon on a rolling road. it now has a custom map to boost mid range and make the power even more linier than out of the box (on a side note it has a lovely pop and bang on over run now)
Akraprovic and other Carbon fibre replacement panels - New over £600.
Genuine Yamaha Seat Cowl - New around £180.
Pazzo Short levers - £75.
Custom Black/Gold seat - £150.
R&G Tail tidy.
R&G Radiator Guard.
No drill crash bobbins.
Double bubble screen.
Clear indicator lenses to add that facelift look.
Replacement sprockets (same teeth No) and DID X-Ring premium chain (Mid 2013).
Tyres are Bridgestone S20s and the rear needs to be replaced shortly but the front has another life left in it yet.
The bike has always been to main dealers for servicing (with oil changes by me in-between) and the last one was Oct 2013 (just over 1000m ago) for the largest 24000 mile service (early) I didn't want to save money. I just wanted everything checked fully. That service itself cost just shy of £750 as it's a full day job and I wanted the fork seals replacing too.
If this is not enough?
For your security the bike also comes with a Meta 357 TV2 Alarm and a BikeTrac Tracker. which sends you updates if the bike is moved and allows you to track your rides - check them out but that was over £600 in total fitted with the alarm.
I had considered putting the bike back to standard (as I have everything ever removed from the bike stored away) and selling them off separately as then the bike would appear cheaper. this is an all in sale!
Why buy a bike for £800 less then have to find all the bits however if someone is wanting a standard R1 then I will consider offers as long as I keep the upgraded parts.
No silly offers. I know what I paid for all this and what it's worth to me.
Any independent inspection is welcome
