Description
Starts first prod of the kickstart. Very usable everyday classic. Highly desirable 1970 model with matching frame and engine numbers.
Here we have a genuine 1970 Triumph TR6R 650 cc. Both frame and engine numbers are BD40831 TR6R. This is a nice tidy example with a touch of patina, which has been priced sensibly to sell. Exported in 1970 to New York, USA, and returned in 1991 from Miami County, Ohio. UK registration is WKC 92H, formerly US licence plate X 360 MC, Ohio 70. Over the years, the bike has had a new carburettor, mudguard stays, wiring loom, fuel taps, heatsink, horn, petrol tank lower reflectors, points cover, rear footrest support plates, seat, 6V coils for electronic ignition, battery strap, fork gaiters, and silencers. The rev counter and speedometer were fully restored and serviced and fitted with the correct dial faces in the past. It currently has a 1969 Bonneville tank and new stainless steel mudguards. The bike rides well with a nice sounding engine.
Comes with 2 keys for ignition but no steering lock key. So to round up, it's a nice machine that starts first or second kick with no nasty noises, no smoke, and is ready to ride and enjoy. Classed as a historic vehicle. MOT until the end of May and taxed to the end of April.
