BSA DBD34 GOLD STAR 1957 US SPEC. MATCHING ENGINE/FRAME NUMBERS
Just in from the USA. This stunning BSA Gold Star this bike should be in a museum its so original showing just 5661 miles from new.
This is not a shiny restoration job with with a load of pattern parts fitted. The paint on the tank is cracked and the cable outers are a bit frayed but they are the ones it came out the factory with. you can not create patina like this. These bikes in this condition are so few and far between now days.
There is a dent in the tank its not been repaired because the tank would need a respray so it has been left to become a part of its history we have been informed its been there for 40 years.
Its fitted with a standard gearbox and high bars (US Spec) which makes it a lot nicer to ride. just what the Americans wanted. The engine runs nicely as you would expect with this mileage.
It has a three pin electric take off under the carb this is genuine Lucas never seen one before.
