Description
FOR SALE BSA GOLDSTAR 1957
BSA GOLDSTAR DBD 34 CLUBMANS TRIM.
THE BIKE HAS RRT2 GEARBOX. STEEL PETROL TANK. 1 1/2 GP1 CARB. 190MM FRONT BRAKE. DUNLOP ALLOY RIMS FRONT AND REAR. PRIMARY BELT DRIVE CONVERSION AND A BRASS 1:1 REV COUNTER DRIVE.
THE BIKE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THROUGHOUT. I WOULD SAY THE PAINTWORK IS VERY GOOD AND THE CHROME IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ONLY SLIGHT PITTING ON THE LEVERS AND FRONT MUDGUARD BUT NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
THE SEAT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAS WHITE PIPING.
THE CHROME ON THE PETROL TANK IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. HOWEVER THERE IS A SLIGHT DENT ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WHICH COULD EASILY BE KNOCKED OUT.
THE ENGINE IS VERY CLEAN. IT HAS NO BROKEN FINS OR EXTERNALDAMAGE. SAME CAN BE SAID FOR THE GEARBOX.
THE PRIMARY CHAIN CASES ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND DO NOT HAVE ANY DENTS OR SIGNS OF REPAIR.
THE BIKE IS FITTED WITH BOTH SIDE AND CENTRE STANDS.
LIGHTS. BRAKES. CLUTCH. GEARS ETC. ALL WORK PROPERLY.
THE BIKE LEFT THE FACTORY AND WAS SENT TO DEALER GUS KUHN IN LONDON. THEN IN 1982 WAS BOUGHT BY A MR FRENCH WHO LIVED IN JERSEY. IN THE LATE 1980s IT WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE MAINLAND AND SOLD TO A MAN IN NOTTINGHAM. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE BIKE FOR THE LAST 14 YEARS AND NEVER USED IT. THE BIKE COMES WITH IMPORT DOCUMENTS FROM JERSRY (IN 1987). ENGINE BRAKE TEST. CONFORMATION OF ENGINE AND FRAME NUMBERS FROM SADDLEWORTH CLASSIC BIKES.
THE ENGINE IS A 1957 AND THE FRAME IS A 1961 (ALTHOUGH REGISTERED AS 1957). MOTOR VEHILE CERTIFICATE IN JERSEY. RECEIPTS FROM GOLDSTAR SPECIALIST BRIAN CARTER AND SOME OLD MOTs.
THIS IS A VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A BSA GOLDSTAR CLUBMAN WITH ALL THE RIGHT PARTS.
COMES WITH V5c AND ALL FORE MENTIONED DOCUMENTS. MOT AND TAX EXCEMPT.
