1967 ex-Don Vesco ex factory BSA A 50 R road racer
One of approximately five specially built bikes sent by BSA to USA in 1967 for Daytona and West coast events. These bikes were raced by Dick Mann. Don Vesco. Jody Nicholas. Dan Haaby. Eddie Wirth and others.
This example was raced by Don Vesco. Dan Haaby and Jody Nicholas.
The frame is a “cheater” lightweight 531 Reynolds tube with special geometry. close ratio gearbox. 210 mm Fontana front brake. and much more.
This is a very tricked out factory bike. It was restored by Don Vesco. and later re-restored by Team Obsolete.
The motor has been cleverly converted from E. T. ignition to Lucas racing magneto.
