I have a memory stick with pics of the build which will be given too the new owner. i didn't build it. a mechanic did. I'm not a mechanic. I play with trains for a living.
MOT till August next year. currently taxed but non transferable under new laws.
Bike has been to MSS Colchester and put on the rolling road. and is over fueling at about 6000 revs. turbo spools up fine but then drops off. currently running 112 mains. I have been told that if i go back to 120 mains and lower the needles it should cure the over fueling.
I have spoken to a tuner in Leatherhead. Surrey. Steve Jordan. and he will have the bike and sort it. a day on the rollers and the carbs set up. currently running 5PSI boost which is safe on the standard rods/internals. if you change the head gasket you could up the power. i have done my homework and this guy knows his stuff. i have a friend with a turbo charged gixer and another tuning company that he uses speak highly of them. i have been quoted 400-450 to get it sorted.
Every time i change something i have to hire a van. run in to Colchester and have it put on the rollers to ensure no damage is being caused by running lean. the bike currently runs rich to ensure no damage. There is no one local to me who will tune the bike as they all only do EFI now.
I should keep it and have it done. I'm pretty certain ill not own another one. but i have a Tuono Gen 2. and can only ride one at a time so its got to go.
In summary. it will be a mental bike. I've had it revving through in 1st. 2nd and third and it does go. would be a lovely street fighter once the carbs have been sorted.
Bike is legal so can be ridden away. but i would advise a trailer and get it sorted to be safe.
a fightered blade can do 2k. and then put the cost of the fabrication and turbo on top. for what I'm wanting you will end up with a cheap turboed bike
Any questions please ask.
