This fine old 1986 Honda XR250R Enduro has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 1555 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the rear brake light assy & switch. ignition switch & key and grips.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy rims. good discs. calipers & working master cylinders. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & are tidy. Instruments & switches look great. Carburetor is free sliding off the twist grip. Fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. Shock absorber is damping fine. The engine is cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression – When we fed it fresh fuel it starts & runs.
The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.
We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of title but we will provide proof VAT & Duty is paid on the new NOVA system.
